Stationary Direct Current De-Icing Equipment
Stationary direct current de-icing and SVC equipment uses the high-power electronic device to generate direct current to heat and therefore de-icing of the power lines. Main advantages of de-icing by direct current are high reliability and the small impact on the power system. The equipment is suitable for de-icing of long distance power lines.
Stationary direct current de-icing and SVC equipment can switch between direct current de-icing and SVC mode. When there is no need for de-icing, the equipment can be re-configured through the main wiring and operate as a Static VAR Compensator. The system can improve both, system stability and transmission capacity. The efficiency goes to a higher level.
